The Center for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children is participating establishing the Yemeni branch of the international Catalyst network.
The announcement of establishing international Catalyst in Yemen has been held today, Wedensday 3/5/2023 in Taiz city.
The Center for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children had a significant role in this event and relevant local organizations as well.
According to the announcement statement of the branch of the network, the branch establishment of the global network in Yemen aims to support and develop the environment of social entrepreneurship, develop Yemeni society, strengthen the bond of society and rebuild its fabric and promote it in all fields. In addition to breaking the local barriers and obstacles created by the war in Yemeni society in general, and seeking to unify efforts at the level of various Yemeni local contexts.
The announcement event was attended by the regional coordinator of the global network Catalyst, Ghufran Abu Dayyeh, the leadership and members of the network's branch in Yemen, a number of local and security authority officials, activists and actors from academics, youth, women and the private parties.
The Catalyst Network is refered to as a global movement of organizations and individuals committed to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, by leading social entrepreneurs and social innovators in all fields around the world.
The network seeks to collaborate with communities, governments, the private sector, local and international actors, funders and others, to form a comprehensive cooperation and create a cross-border and cross-cultural links, and lead them locally to stimulate creativity and innovation and find solutions to social problems and issues using limited resources, and to make the most of sustainable social impact.
The statement also stated that unifying efforts of a group of local organizations from different Yemeni governorates working in social entrepreneurship within the framework of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributed to the establishment of the "Yemen Branch" of the Catalyst Global Network 2030.
The statement pointed out that the organizations and institutions which contributed to the establishment of the network's branch in Yemen are: Develop Your Community, Kayan Foundation for Peace and Development, Youth Dialogue Diversity Forum, Center for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children, PASS Foundation Peace for Sustainable Communities, Prospects for Change Forum, Yemen Without Conflict, Tamdeen Youth Foundation, Wasl for Peace Organization, Haya Bassam Al-Qubati, Enqath Foundation for Development RDF, Rise for Youth Development, Accountability Organization for Human Rights, Generations Without Qat Organization, Al-Amal Cultural and Social Women's Foundation, Salam Foundation. and DevPro, The National Organization of Yemeni Reporters SADA.
The statement concluded by referring to the concerted efforts together towards a cooperative Yemeni society through which everyone seeks to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
